Bore: 68.5mm  Stroke: 76mm

Modifications included:

Cylinder: Bored, ported, plated with nickel ceramic bore coating.

Head: Modified to your fuel requirements.  We recommend 100 octane in most applications.

Crankshaft:  Stroked and balanced.

Cases:  Modified to clear the stroker crankshaft.

Wiseco piston kit and the necessary gaskets are included

This is the big bore and stroker build that we offer for the 1999-Current YZ250 and YZ250X.  280cc is what we have found to be the most effective bore/stroke combination for 250cc engines.

Like our other 280cc 2-stroke engine offerings this one also has a very big bottom and mid that can be used for pretty much anything, however it also does not stop pulling till after most guys shut it off. It is a very linear power curve that lends it self better bike control and faster lap times.  This is the most powerful YZ250 kit we sell.

We set it up to run on 100 octane but since we customize everything here it can be altered for straight race fuel or premium pump fuel at your request.

The price is to install it in a good condition engine. If additional parts are needed outside of the parts included in the kit we will call you for approval before we install anything.

This mod requires you to send us your complete engine with the kick starter and shifter.  We will modify it to 280cc and send it back ready to drop in and go.
